Our History

Erin Bause and Amy Bartra are Pottstown natives and attended The Culinary Institute of America. They are third generation local small business owners having established Bause Catered Events Inc in 1989. For over 30 years, Erin and Amy have catered events with beautifully presented and delicious foods for Corporate Events, Weddings, Anniversaries, Showers, and Celebrations of all kinds.

Bause Catered Events began as a farmer’s market stand back in 1989. At the time, we provided individual meals and carefully-crafted desserts in the bustling Pottstown Farmer’s Market each week. We had a wonderful time getting to know people as they got to know us. Our own life events happened alongside those of our clients, and so when we had our children, we pivoted so that we could continue creating great menus and also spend time with our loved ones.

From there, we grew into a full-service event catering business, preparing meals for just about every life event imaginable. We began catering weddings at amazing venues and homes, milestone celebrations, corporate product launches, huge employee picnics, and more. We are privileged to know our employees at work and at home– through work events to personal celebrations. We have never taken this for granted and have always felt grateful to be part of these events!

As the Bause Catering family grows and adapts, we are delighted to focus on our newest offering: Meals To Go! We are excited to prepare shareable dishes for a crowd and entertaining your favorite people at home. Because we know that food is love, we offer gluten-free, vegetarian, and dairy-free items so that everyone is included and well-fed.
